Im Morgengrauen komme ich in San Antonio an. Die Zugfahrt war sehr angenehm – ziemlich breite Schlafsitze erm\u00f6glichten mir einige Stunden Schlaf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am Bahnhof in San Antonio ist f\u00fcr diese fr\u00fche Stunde extrem viel los. Ich durchschaue die gesamte Organisation nicht – niemand kann mir sagen, wann und wo mein Fahrrad wieder auftaucht. Viele aufgeregte Menschen wuseln herum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regan, der weiter nach Chicago f\u00e4hrt hilft mir bei der Suche und tats\u00e4chlich nach einer guten Stunde habe ich Fahrrad und meine Packtaschen wieder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erstmal raus aus dem Trubel – gegen 1\/2 8 fr\u00fchst\u00fccke ich Downtown San Antonio und \u00fcberlege mir, wie ich den Tag organisiere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suche mir zentral ein Hotel f\u00fcr einen early Check-In – altehrw\u00fcrdig \u201eThe Crockett Hotel\u201c unmittelbar neben The Alamo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

F\u00fcr den \u00dcberblick eine Radrunde gedreht, sp\u00e4ter obligatorisch Hop-on \/ Hop-off Stadtrundfahrt und nat\u00fcrlich der ber\u00fchmte Riverwalk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hat tats\u00e4chlich viel Charme – Downtown San Antonio – leider ist rund um The Alamo eine Riesenbaustelle – das st\u00f6rt etwas das Ensemble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich genie\u00dfe einen herrlichen Fr\u00fchlingsabend in einem gepflegten Steakhouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die n\u00e4chsten zwei Tage sollten entspanntes Radeln sein – morgen peile ich New Braunfels an, wie so einiges in diesem Teil von Texas, Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts von deutschen Auswanderern gegr\u00fcndet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
