Leisa & Matt begleiten mich die ersten 1 1\/2 h in Richtung S\u00fcden. Dann hei\u00dft es Abschied nehmen – die beiden sind wirklich gute Freunde geworden seit 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vor mir liegt ein Aufstieg auf 1580 m – es ist nie wirklich steil – aber stetig – teilweise ist die Stra\u00dfe eng und viel Verkehr – stressig. Am Ende sind es 897 H\u00f6henmeter – mit meiner Last schon heftig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Landschaft ver\u00e4ndert sich – die W\u00fcste bleibt zur\u00fcck und Pr\u00e4rie kommt auf – K\u00fche und immer mal wieder B\u00e4ume.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Irgendwann bin ich oben – in langen Wellen jeweils mit etlichen Metern Gegenanstieg geht es nach Soinita (800 Ew.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das einzige Hotel ist am Wochenende ausgebucht – die Lady gibt mir den Tipp – Santa Cruz County Fairground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Da kann ich tats\u00e4chlich umsonst mein Zelt aufstellen – das Rodeogel\u00e4nde ist riesig und ich bin allein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das coole ist, ein paar hundert Meter zu Fu\u00df ist eine sehr ansprechende Brauerei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
