Sch\u00f6ner Sonnenaufgang – bin sehr gespannt wie es heute weitergeht. Alles eingepackt f\u00fcr den Transport nach Paducah. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hatte gestern Abend noch einen kurzen Kontakt mit Millie – die an einem Buch \u00fcber den Mississippi arbeitet (als Fotografin) wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe. Sie kommt kurz vorbei um sich meine Reise erkl\u00e4ren zu lassen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fahrrad und komplette Ausr\u00fcstung kommen auf Bills Van und um 8 Uhr rauschen wir ab nach Paducah KY, ungef\u00e4hr 30 Meilen. Ich bin ein bisschen nerv\u00f6s, ob das klappen wird und ich mit Bill wieder zur\u00fcckfahren kann. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Um 9 Uhr stehen wir vor dem ersten Laden – verschlossen !! Bill telefoniert mit dem Inhaber, der ihm mitteilt, dass er heute erst um 12 Uhr das Gesch\u00e4ft \u00f6ffnen wird. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir fahren zum n\u00e4chsten Laden – Bike World – \u00f6ffnet um 10 Uhr – okay, gehen einen Kaffee trinken. P\u00fcnktlich zur \u00d6ffnung stehen wir vor dem Bike Shop – macht einen sehr professionellen Eindruck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Ein junger Mann nimmt sich meiner Sache an, \u00fcberlegt kurz, ob er den Freilauf reparieren soll\/kann – bespricht sich mit einem Kollegen. Die L\u00f6sung ist – wie erwartet – ein neues Hinterrad – nach 45 Minuten ist der \u201eBlaue Elefant\u201c wieder einsatzbereit. Ich freue mich total und werde heute Nachmittag weiterfahren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Gegen 12 Uhr sind wir wieder zur\u00fcck im CG – ich verabschiede mich herzlich von Bill, der sich ja wirklich maximal um mich gek\u00fcmmert hat. Es ist unglaublich welche Herzlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft mir in diesem State Park begegnet ist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Um ca. 13 Uhr starte ich und bin relativ bald in meinem siebten Staat in Tennessee angekommen. Ca. 25 km fahre ich auf einer endlosen Geraden bevor ich bei Tiptonville den Reelfoot Lake erreiche. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Mein Tag (halber Radtag) endet in einem Motel am Rande des Sees. Der See ist vor ca. 200 Jahren bei einem m\u00e4chtigen Erdbeben in der Region entstanden. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
