War ein super Aufenthalt bei Tom Neumeyer. Mein Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck im Diner um die Ecke darf ich nicht bezahlen – wird von einer M\u00e4nnerrunde gesponsert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich bin um 7:00 Uhr schon auf der Stra\u00dfe – verlasse Missouri \u00fcber erneut eine sehr gro\u00dfe Br\u00fccke – gut zu fahren so fr\u00fch am Samstagmorgen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die ersten zwei Stunden fliegen auf sehr ruhigen Countryroads nur so dahin. Stoppe kurz bei einer Begegnung mit einem Rennradfahrer (Name nicht gemerkt). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Auf dem Weg nach Cairo wird es wieder sehr hei\u00df – Cairo, da wollten Huck Finn und Tom Sawyer hin – f\u00fcr ein besseres Leben. Heute ist es ein ziemlich trauriger Ort. Ich zeige Euch mal ein paar Bilder dazu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Hier flie\u00dft der Ohio River mit dem MR zusammen. Ich mu\u00df auf einer \u00e4u\u00dferst engen Br\u00fccke \u00fcber den Ohio River – gesch\u00e4tzt 2 km. Im Internet wird empfohlen sich shutteln zu lassen oder auch die Polizei um \u201eescort\u201c zu bitten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Beides ist gerade nicht verf\u00fcgbar – was habe ich gelernt – meine Spur so zu besetzen, dass ich nur \u00fcber die Gegenfahrbahn passiert werden kann. Ziehe schon eine Schlange hinter mir her – aber es wird nicht gehupt. Ist ja nicht die erste \u201eMonsterbr\u00fccke\u201c in meiner Radler-Laufbahn. Konnte leider nicht stoppen f\u00fcr ein Foto, da h\u00e4tten sie mich gelyncht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Nach der Br\u00fccke bin ich in Kentucky – Staat Nr. 6 auf der Tour. Bald geht es auf relativ ruhigen Stra\u00dfen die letzten 20 Meilen zum Columbus-Belmont State Park (der Ort spielt eine Rolle im Civil War – bei Interesse bitte googeln). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Der Camp Host Bill ist super nett – wir fahren mit dem Cart – ich darf mir einen Platz aussuchen und darf nichts daf\u00fcr bezahlen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Am Abend muss ich unbedingt einen Bourbon mit ihm trinken und einen Hamburger essen – so ist das in Kentucky. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
