Genevieve &#8211; da hatte ich 50 km und \u00fcber 500 H\u00f6henmeter auf der Uhr. Habe mir eine l\u00e4ngere Pause geg\u00f6nnt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Einige Kilometer sp\u00e4ter habe ich zum ersten Mal den MR per F\u00e4hre \u00fcberquert &#8211; also wieder in Illinois. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video controls src=\"https:\/\/guderley.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/img_3282.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00dcberraschung Nr. 3 war dann nach der F\u00e4hre mein Garmin-Track, der mich 5 km auf eine sehr staubige Gravel-Road f\u00fchrte. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Irgendwie habe ich wohl einen Fehler gemacht, jedenfalls kam ich zwischen zwei Railroad-Tracks und konnte diese wegen eines stehenden Zuges nicht \u00fcberqueren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Habe den Blauen Elefanten fast eine Stunde durch platte Maisfelder geschoben &#8211; inclusive der Querung eines ausgetrockneten Bachbettes. Also komplett Abpacken &#8211; die rund 50 Kilo eine ca. 2 Meter hohe B\u00f6schung rauf und runter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als ich die Stra\u00dfe endlich erreicht hatte, war ich restlos fertig &#8211; das ganze Nachmittags um 15 Uhr bei guten 33 Grad Celsius. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Plan war nahe Chester zu Campen &#8211; zwei Gr\u00fcnde waren letztlich ausschlaggebend den Plan zu \u00e4ndern &#8211; beide m\u00f6glichen CG ohne Dusche (bei total dreckigen Beinen) und aufkommende Gewitter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Habe es vorgezogen &#8211;
