Das Zimmer im Quality Inn war sehr gut – das Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck grausam. Bin gegen 7 Uhr nach Hanibal hinuntergefahren – allerdings mit einem 50hm Zwischenaufstieg.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Im Ort habe ich mir die einschl\u00e4gigen Mark Twain-Objekte angeguckt. Der ganze Ort war sehr aktiv – es wurde f\u00fcrs Wochenende ein Farmers Market aufgebaut. War ein wenig Wild-West-Atmosph\u00e4re.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    Habe mir ein gutes Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck geg\u00f6nnt und bin \u00fcber die gro\u00dfe MR-Br\u00fccke auf dem Highway wieder zur\u00fcck nach Illinois.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

    Die n\u00e4chsten 50km ging es moderat auf und ab durch gleichf\u00f6rmiges Agrarland. Leider habe ich heute Gegenwind – muss mir die Kilometer ziemlich erk\u00e4mpfen.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      \u00dcber Bayern 1 habe ich mir die Schlussphase der Bundesliga angeh\u00f6rt – am Rande einer Farm in Rockport\/IL.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Gegen Sp\u00e4tnachmittags stoppe ich einer Bar und frage die Leute nach \u00dcbernachtungsm\u00f6glichkeiten auf meinem Track. Sie empfehlen mir dringlich meine Route zu \u00e4ndern.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Ich folge dem Rat – fahre 15 km \u00fcber einen Berg nach Kampsville und entscheide mich dort weitere 15 Kilometer nach S\u00fcden zum Ort Hardin zu fahren.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Wie so oft passiert dann was Unerwartetes – ich sehe ein Schild der McCully Heritage Project folge dem Abzweig und bin nach ca. 1 km auf einem CG mitten im Wald.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Treffe dort John mit seinem Sohn Noah und dem Labrador \u201eTucker\u201c, die mich einladen mein Zelt in ihre N\u00e4he zu stellen. Ich werde zu Bier und Bratwurst eingeladen – am Lagerfeuer.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
