Habe etwas unruhig geschlafen – viele Tierger\u00e4usche um mich herum. Bin wieder gegen 6:15 Uhr auf der Piste. Es rollt \ud83d\udeb4<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bis Palisade (167 Ew.) sind es dann doch \u00fcber 40 km – nur mit einem Espresso und einem Riegel – gute \u00dcbung f\u00fcrs Bauchfett \ud83d\ude02\ud83d\ude02 Gottseidank ist es weitgehend flach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So fr\u00fch am Morgen kommt kein einziges Auto – nur die Tierwelt ist aktiv, Deer (etwas gr\u00f6\u00dfer als unser Reh), Turkeys, Opossum, Fasanen, riesige Eichh\u00f6rnchen (Squirrel) und ein Adler. Leider auch sehr viel \u00fcberfahrene Kadaver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Gabby\u2018s Treat gibt es ein super amerikanisches Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck. Es dauert nicht lange, da steht der Chef vor mir (Gabbys Mann), er war acht Jahre in Ramstein, spricht nat\u00fcrlich kein richtiges Wort Deutsch – aber total nett. Sind auch noch etliche andere Ex-GIs im Raum. Alle wollen nat\u00fcrlich wissen wie es heute in Deutschland ist. Ich bin so etwas, wie die Samstagsattraktion – kein Wunder bei 167 Ew. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Verlauf wird es sehr schw\u00fcl, der MR windet sich durch endloses Ackerland und ich erk\u00e4mpfe mir so manchen Kilometer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Das ist mir ja nicht fremd – nach \u00fcber 35.000 km auf dem Blauen Elephanten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aitkin (immerhin \u00fcber 2000 Ew.) – ist quasi die Kreisstadt des Countys hier. Ziehe mir ein gro\u00dfes Eis rein und entscheide mich heute f\u00fcr ein richtiges Bett. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Buche ein AirBnB in Crosby – 20 Meilen entfernt am MRT – qu\u00e4le mich ein bisschen durch die Hitze – am Ende gibt es noch zwei richtige Berge – die ersten in Minnesota. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Um 17:30 Uhr bin ich da, das Gute ist, im Erdgeschoss des Apartments ist ein Liqour Store – also so ein Laden in USA, wo es Alkohol zu kaufen gibt und eine coole Bar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hole meinen Schl\u00fcssel – setze mich vor den Store – drinnen ist es saukalt und megalaut – f\u00fcnf riesige Bildschirme mit Sports Live und besoffene Amis – und trinke zwei exzellente IPAs – heute nicht geschnorrt – aber trinke zwei – zahle eins – da habe ich mitgemacht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
