Viele Aktivit\u00e4ten pr\u00e4gen die letzten Tage meiner Reise.<\/p>\n

Ich habe es sehr gut getroffen mit dem Stay bei Cyndi, sie ist eine total entspannte Lady, extrem Fahrrad orientiert, ihre zweite Leidenschaft sind V\u00f6gel. Berge von B\u00fcchern zu beiden Themen pr\u00e4gen das ganze Haus.<\/p>\n

Am Samstagabend waren wir (Julian, Lorrana und ich) zu einem Sommerfest in Palo Alto eingeladen. Nat\u00fcrlich wurde ich da – typisch amerikanisch – entsprechend bewundert.<\/p>\n

Sonntagmorgen standen wir schon um 7:00 Uhr an einer Sportsbar an um einen Platz f\u00fcr das Finale zu ergattern. Ich h\u00e4tte nie gedacht, dass das Interesse hier so gro\u00df ist. SF ist allerdings wirklich eine Multi-Kulti Stadt.<\/p>\n

Nach dem franz\u00f6sischen Sieg sind wir nach Carmel by the Sea gefahren. Volles Kontrastprogramm, John Brancy ein Freund von Julian, ist bei der dortigen Bach-Woche als S\u00e4nger engagiert und hat uns zur Matth\u00e4us-Passion eingeladen.<\/p>\n

Montag bin ich nochmal eine gro\u00dfe Runde mit dem Rad – ohne Gep\u00e4ck – durch die Stadt gefahren. Bevor ich es flugtauglich einpacke.<\/p>\n

Heute am Dienstag habe ich eine mehrst\u00fcndige „7-summit“-Wanderung mitten in San Francisco gemacht, mit atemberaubenden Rundumblicken. Leider war es auf den ber\u00fchmten Twin Peaks m\u00e4chtig neblig und st\u00fcrmisch. Sp\u00e4ter bedanke ich mich bei meiner Gastgeberin mit einer Einladung zum Dinner.<\/p>\n

Morgen hei\u00dft es Abschied nehmen von meinem Sohn und seiner Freundin. Donnerstag gehts auf den Flieger und am Freitag sollte ich wieder zuhause sein.<\/p>\n
