Sehr gut unter diesen gigantischen B\u00e4umen geschlafen. Starte langsam in den Tag und habe keine guten Beine.<\/p>\n

Es ist h\u00fcgelig geworden und immer wieder \u00fcberquere ich Fl\u00fcsse – mehr oder weniger gro\u00dfe – die in die Willapa Bay m\u00fcnden.<\/p>\n

Es ist wirklich eine tolle Landschaft hier an der Westk\u00fcste Washingtons.<\/p>\n

Nach einer knappen Stunde passiere ich die Goose Oyster Company und genehmige mir einige Austern zum Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck. Frischer gehts nicht, die Dinger sind riesig – St\u00fcckpreis $ 1,50 – herrlich.<\/p>\n

Einige Zeit sp\u00e4ter merke ich, dass mir Koffein als Brennstoff fehlt – allerdings kommt nach der Austernfirma nichts mehr – nur noch Natur.<\/p>\n

Erst als ich die Long Beach Peninsula erreiche (60 km sp\u00e4ter) kann ich wieder Energie tanken.<\/p>\n

Ich beschlie\u00dfe den Tag um 1\/2 4 Uhr auf dem Campground Cape Disappointment zu beenden. Diese Ecke hat ganz viel Bedeutung in der amerikanischen Geschichte – Lewis und Clark haben hier auf dem Columbia River – so um 1805 herum – den Pazifik erreicht.<\/p>\n

Unterwegs hat mich heute ein Norweger \u00fcberholt – mit Rennrad und leichtem Gep\u00e4ck – der von Seattle nach Los Angeles f\u00e4hrt. Auf der Hiker\/Biker Campsite treffe ich am Abend noch einen jungen Amerikaner – auch mit dem Rennrad unterwegs. Er erz\u00e4hlt mir, dass die Pacific Coast von Oregon (erreiche ich morgen) bis California ein Muss f\u00fcr jeden US-Biker ist.<\/p>\n
