Lange Ausschlafen, warm Duschen, ausgiebig Fr\u00fchst\u00fccken, das sind die Unterschiede zu einem Radtag.<\/p>\n

Habe ein bisschen Prince Rupert erkundet, das ganze Wochenende ist „Seafest“, da wird jede Menge auf der Stra\u00dfe geboten. Von Hockey- und Soccerturnieren f\u00fcr die Kids \u00fcber jede Menge zu essen, von all den unterschiedlichen Nationalit\u00e4ten hier in Prince Rupert. Alles ziemlich laut mit viel Remmidemmi bis hin zu einem „Beergarden“ mit sehr viel Alkohol.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr Sonntag habe ich mir einen Tagesausflug auf eine nahegelegene Insel gebucht, auf welcher garantiert Grizzlies zu beobachten sind.<\/p>\n

Am Nachmittag bin ich ein wenig aus der Stadt hinausgeradelt und habe eine wundersch\u00f6ne, etwa 1 1\/2 st\u00fcndige Wanderung auf einem Trail im Regenwald gemacht. Leider war an den „Butze Rapids“ gerade Low Tide, soda\u00df die Stromschnellen jetzt nicht ganz so „amazing“ waren, wie beschrieben.<\/p>\n

Lasse jetzt gleich den Abend mit lokaler Seafood ausklingen. Auf dem Heimweg werde ich sicher auch noch ein Bier im oben erw\u00e4hnten Biergarten trinken.<\/p>\n

Die kleine lokale Brauerei macht u.a. ein „Spruce Dog“ genanntes Bier, da werden die jungen Triebe der K\u00fcstenfichte mit verarbeitet.<\/p>\n

Aus Spruce wurde schon zu Goldgr\u00e4berzeiten Bier gebraut.<\/p>\n
