Gegen acht Uhr trinke ich zusammen mit der Vermieterin einen Kaffee und mache mich auf den Weg zu einem erneuten Transfertag, d.h. das Ziel ist m\u00f6glichst weit an Riga heranzufahren, leider sind dabei viele Kilometer auf der A 1 zu fahren, dass ist die Hauptverbindung zwischen Tallinn und Riga. Die Strasse ist an vielen Stellen sehr gut ausgebaut und bietet einen Randstreifen, auf dem man ganz gut fahren kann, man muss nur die ganze Zeit h\u00f6llisch aufpassen und das strengt irgendwann an.<\/p>\n

Kurz vor drei Uhr passiere ich die ehemalige Grenze zwischen Estland und Lettland. Mit ziemlich genau 1650 km habe ich mir Estland weitgehend „erfahren“. Ich habe zwar nicht alles gesehen, aber sicher ziemlich viel, wenn ich so die einschl\u00e4gige Literatur (Lonely Planet) durchbl\u00e4ttere.<\/p>\n

Die lettische K\u00fcste bietet viele langgezogene Str\u00e4nde und an einem strahlenden Sonntag wie heute ist ziemlich viel los.<\/p>\n

Um 21:00 Uhr erreiche ich endlich Saulkrasti, der Ort ist allerdings rund 15 km lang, so dass ich an einigen guten \u00dcbernachtungsm\u00f6glichkeiten vorbeirolle, in Erwartung einer besseren Gelegenheit. Am Schlu\u00df wurde es etwas eng und ich quartiere mich in einem einfachen „Rooms for Rent“ ein, aber nachdem das Zelten im gesamten Bereich der Stadt ausdr\u00fccklich verboten ist, soll das so sein.<\/p>\n

Morgen geht es nach Riga, der baltischen Metropole, das ist nur noch ein Katzensprung und ich werde dort bis Donnerstagmorgen bleiben. Zweieinhalb Tage Pause, ziemlich in der Mitte meiner Tour, kommen mir sehr gelegen und die Stadt ist es bestimmt wert.<\/p>\n
